EMIX PRO WRESTLING CELEBRATES TEN "THROWDOWNS" BY RAISING THE BAR AGAIN
October 11, 2014 was a milestone for Remix Pro Wrestling, its staff, wrestlers, and fans alike, as the journey reached a magic number - ten times we have brought you stellar "Throwdown for the Pound" supercards and raised an incredible amount of money for the local chapter of the Humane Society as well. Just as each "Throwdown" preceding it, our tenth installment raised the bar set by the one prior, ensuring that as amazing as this event was... the best is still yet to come.
The feature match saw Matt Sydal bring a mental awakening and spiritual enlightenment to Remix Pro, as the man who says he is "reborn" battled the face of the franchise, the man who built the brand, "Neon Ninja" and "Aerosol Assassin" Facade! It was among the most breathtaking encounters in recent memory, as both strived to top one another in an encounter that, at times, seemed to resemble a man wrestling a mirror. Respect gave way to competitive spirit and mounting tensions as time went on. Facade had dodged the Shooting Sydal Press, but the St. Louis-native wasn't as lucky when it came to Facade's Arishikage Driver. Sydal was pinned, and Facade had taken another step to avenge his loss to AJ Styles at TD9, but no one left on bad terms. Facade toasted to the efforts of Sydal, not over an alcoholic beverage, but over about a dozen cans of Surge! A fitting name to describe the frenetic pace we had just seen, and a fitting feel-good ending saluting two of the sport's absolute best athletes.
One issue that ended on a much less positive ending involved Remix Pro Champion Chance Prophet. Chance had major issues with former "Funkasaurus" Monstrous B.C. (Brodus Clay). The 365-pounder overpowered and smothered Prophet much of the way, but things went from bad to worse when The Headless Horsemen appeared and Gory, Matt Conard, Ron Mathis, and Steff Leppard absconded with the Remix Pro championship title belt! Distracted as he was, Chance pressed on, and was able to out-quicken his monstrous foe, get a few lucky shifts in momentum, and topple the largest man to enter a Remix Pro ring. There was no time to celebrate, as Chance immediately began pursuing his former charges in order to reclaim his rightful property. What won't the Horsemen stoop to to end the legacy of Chance Prophet?
Part of Gory & Conard's frustration certainly stemmed from their opportunity to become the first-ever Remix Pro Tag Team Champions earlier in the night, but not for the reason you may think. The Horsemen were indeed victorious over 4x tag team champions in other organizations, the debuting Batiri, Obariyon & Kodama, with their double team tombstone piledriver. However, apparently they didn't get the memo that the championship belts would be presented during a special ceremony at our NEXT event. The Horsemen refused to leave until they got what they wanted, prompting ringside commentator Ike Eastwood to attempt to reason with the tandem. However, Ike clearly overstepped his bounds and was unprepared for the onslaught that followed, as the Horsemen mercilessly assaulted Eastwood as well! This no doubt directly led to the thievery behind Chance Prophet's title.
Ron Mathis had a difficult night as well, in his RIOT Championship match with Johnny Gargano. As per usual, this division saw very lax rules, and it didn't take long for the dangers of such a stipulation to be evident. Minutes into the battle, Johnny Gargano was badly busted open across his forehead thanks to a particularly violent shot with a trash can lid. Undeterred, Gargano persevered, fought through the pain, and continued to battle when he could barely walk. However, Mathis was in his element, and the blood loss became too much for the man who is "All Heart" to withstand. Mathis retained the title, and perhaps more importantly, we see that the Headless Horsemen are either the legal or physical possessors of every male championship in Remix Pro Wrestling. How can this reign be stopped when they get immeasurable stronger at every event??
Women's Fury champion Sassy Steph opposed her biggest challenge as well, the imposing Amazing Kong. Also known across the world as Awesome Kong and Karma, Kong used her no-nonsense style and brutal Japanese-influenced strikes to detain her smaller foe. Steph was able to slowly figure out the formula, taking Kong down and beginning to chip away at this near immovable opposition. As Kong was propelled to the outside, she perhaps felt her dominance beginning to wane, and, clutching Steph on the outside, impeded her from getting back into the ring, resulting in an inconclusive double countout ending. Kong got the last word, however, drilling Steph with the Implant Buster before leaving her opponent lifeless. Steph may not have won this match, but she survived it, and perhaps that's the most important fact.
Title implications were also at hand when ten of the best of Remix Pro's past, present & future battled for a very rare opportunity... a future Remix Pro title shot. Names synonymous with Remix such as Aaron Draven, Juggulator, Onyx, Dirk Extreme (and even his buddy The Canadian Idol) and Viper joined perhaps the latest crop of rising stars of Bulldozer, Aiden Veil, Chris LeRusso and Payton Graham for a wild Rumble-style war. However, one name separarated himself from that pack, one man who was able to culminate a journey of pain and sacrifice. One year ago to the day "Supernatural" Zac Vincent was laying on a hospital bed as a tumor was being removed from his brain, unsure if he would ever wrestle or be able to live his life normally again. One year later, Zac Vincent stands victorious - in the ring and in life. Fully healthy, and prepared for the biggest opportunity of his career... as Zac Vincent is the new #1 Contender to the Remix Pro Title.
The most unusual confrontation of the evening saw the man straight from Maxwell Street in Chicago, IL, Colt "Boom Boom" Cabana one-on-one with Marion Fontaine in a Gentleman's Challenge. Fontaine brought a tried and true throwback fighting style, but one thing about Colt Cabana is he's not limited to just one style, and oftentimes when you show up to wrestle him and you're in a bad mood or a bit too stuck up or serious... Colt will exploit that as far as he can. Cabana had his fun, but Fontaine stayed his ground. The comedy stylings of Colt Cabana ultimately fell short to the hard-nosed pugilist, and Marion Fontaine, in what many called a mild upset, sent Colt Cabana back to Maxwell Street with a loss.

REMIX PRO WRESTLING THROWDOWN FOR THE POUND 11 RESULTS
Remix Pro Wrestling continued its trend of topping itself with each passing events, reaching near-capacity for one of the most successful outings of their regular Humane Society fundraiser supercards yet.
It was a year in the making as the "Neon Ninja", a year ago almost to the day, re-entered battle against the man he just couldn't figure out - current IWGP Champion & arguably the best wrestler in the world today "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles. A year of training, preparation, and victories over men like Chris Sabin and Matt Sydal led to a more energized and focused Facade than we had perhaps ever seen. However, as it looked like Facade may be able to achieve his destiny and defeat AJ with his patented Dread Lock submission, Facade's past caught up to him. The Headless Horsemen - Gory, Ron Mathis, Matt Conard, who have had issues with Facade dating back years in Remix Pro and elsewhere hit the ring to spoil the moment for Facade and Remix Pro fans as a whole. This intrusion brought Chance Prophet & The Young Bucks to the ring, as a near-riot ensued. In the confusion, AJ was able to trap Facade in the Styles Clash and escape with a win. It was a bittersweet moment for Facade. As AJ attested to after the match, Facade had come into the match a different competitor and had certainly proved he was capable of beating AJ... Gory & the rest of the Horsemen kept it from becoming a reality. What's next for the man that build the brand, Facade?
Speaking of The Headless Horsemen, they may have participated in a ceremonial presentation of the brand new Remix Pro Tag Team Titles they had won at Throwdown 10, but that didn't mean they had any intentions of returning Chance Prophet's Remix Pro Heavyweight Title they had stolen at the same event. Chance's recruiting of perhaps the best tag team in the world today, Matt & Nick Jackson, The Young Bucks, indeed led to a Superkick Party and a fever-pitch of excitement among the Remix fans, but Gory, Mathis & Conard were able to prove that it is indeed The Headless Horsemen and NOT The Bullet Club who are the dominant group-to-beat in this part of the country. The HH escape with not only the win, but with Chance Prophet's title still in their possession. What will the next move be in Chance's war with his former allies?
The Remix Pro Women's Fury division was filled with controversy and spectacle throughout the night. The three-way Rose Rumble for the Fury Championship saw Remix Pro's dominant female Sassy Steph and one of the most aggressive and fearless veterans in all of women's wrestling LuFisto locked in a stalemate... while both had opponent Veda Scott of Ring of Honor fame locked in separate submission holds, Veda tapped out. But who gets credit for the tapout? The official had no choice but to declare BOTH women had made their foe submit, leaving the match to be officially declared a draw between Steph and LuFisto! Of course, a draw means the title cannot change hands, so Sassy Steph had to re-group and focus on what would potentially be her next challenger.
The Remix Pro in-ring debut of Mickie James was one of the most anticipated moments in company history, and she did not disappoint against upstart and Texas native Athena. Athena has fought for years to bring respect and integrity to women's wrestling, and looked to Mickie as a role model for many years, and it was clear why, as the two competed in arguably the greatest women's match in Remix Pro history! With Sassy Steph watching at ringside, her championship no doubt at the forefront of the mind of everyone involved, she watched on as we all did as Athena pulled off perhaps the biggest upset in Remix Pro history, as the upstart surpassed the role model, giving Athena the win! After the bout, as tensions grew between Athena and Sassy Steph, LuFisto made her way back out to blindside both ladies and cause mass chaos. The challengers continue to surface as Steph struggles to stay atop one of the most competitive women's divisions in all of professional wrestling.
The battle between the two most eclectic personalities in Remix Pro was not without its own share of bizarre controversy. Jock Samson was benefitting in his battle with Marion Fontaine from his goofball alleged "personal trainer" for much of the contest, but the gentlemanly pugilist Fontaine, with a little help from ring announcer Pedro Deluca (who had been disrespected by Jock & his second at the start of the match). Jock had flagrantly used his buddy for illegal leverage in an abdominal stretch numerous times, but when Fontaine turned the tides, he and Pedro started the longest chain of abdominal stretch aid in wrestling history... trapping Jock's second in the grip, as well as Remix security and several dozen ringside fans! Jock had no choice but to submit under the pressure, but Camp Jock wasn't ready to surrender for good! After grabbing the camera of ringside photographer Jimmy Hunt, Jock presented photo proof to the referee of the illegal interference, and sadly Fontaine's attempts at poetic justice ended in a disqualification loss, as Jock outsmarts the entire city of Marietta.
In other action, "The Heir Apparent" Chris LeRusso survived a four way battle with "Black Superman" Onyx, "Omega" Aaron Draven, and Aiden Veil but the certified lawyer lived up to his reputation - by stealing a victory in as sneaky a way as possible and with doing as little work as he can! One can only wonder what will happen once any of the 3 opponents are able to get LeRusso in a one on one environment.... plus Viper was victorious over Bulldozer, but the real story here was Bulldozer's apparent change in attitude. Gone was the dancing and the fun-loving Bulldozer we'd seen before his unfortunate run-in with Brodus Clay/Tyrus at Throwdown 10. This aggressive, angry, and uncontrollable Bulldozer blamed his latest girlfriend, "Home Wrecker" Morgan for his loss, which led to an unprovoked and uncomfortable assault. We send our best wishes out to Morgan, and hope that Bulldozer is stopped before he causes more destruction.

Remix Pro Wrestling's 12th "Throwdown for the Pound" saw a fitting title of "Homeward Bound", as the organization shifted it's focus on raising money for animal shelters and humane societies toward an important piece of their past - the local St Mary's WV chapter, where many of the Remix Pro upper management called home for much of their lives. However, the homefront within Remix Pro may be more volatile than ever before as a battle for territory is emerging featuring perhaps the most dominant entities in Remix Pro history.
Our scheduled main event actually took place impromptu earlier in the event. During our opening contest which looked to see the Lance Storm student Jack Pollock about to overcome the near-300-lb brawler Payton Graham, the wild card himself Ron Mathis, current Remix Pro RIOT Champion and Headless Horsemen, emerged from out of nowhere, assaulting Pollock, Graham, and Graham's manager Marcus Mann. Mathis DEMANDED his title vs. title bout with Chance Prophet start immediately, and with the leeway with rules that all RIOT Champions receive, it was clear it would be Mathis' environment. Prophet, despite not expecting to wrestle for another two hours, walked defiantly into battle, hoping to reclaim his property that the Horsemen have possessed for a year, his Remix Pro Heavyweight Championship belt. Tables were broken, bodies were broken, as action spilled all across the building. Mathis even snapped at manager Steff Leopard at one point, blaming her for a miscue that nearly cost Mathis both championships. Mathis was able to drop Chance with a vicious twisting Tombstone piledriver to win both championships, in an incident we are all lucky wasn't far more serious than it was for Chance. However, the serious repercussions still existed in that with that victory, The Headless Horesemen as of that moment held every single men's championship in Remix Pro. However there was one more hurdle to climb...
History was made in the official main event, as Facade stepped into battle with the legendary Matt Hardy by his side, forming the unique "Neon Extreme" tandem to challenge Remix Pro Tag Team Champions Gory & Matt Conard of the Headless Horsemen. Facade has many months to replay the memories in his mind following The Horsemen's involvement at Throwdown 11 - costing Facade what could potentially have been a career moment as he fought to defeat "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles before interference by the Horseman left his hard work all for naught, and perhaps even more importantly The Horsemen also placed their hands on Facade's girlfriend Dani, who was watching along with the rest of a packed building with baited breath. Dani was ringside this time around, and Facade & Hardy were quick to ask, if not demand, for "Neon Extreme Rules" in order to ensure there would be no limits to the carnage that could ensue. We saw chairs, we saw a ladder, and yes we saw a table, as Matt dug into his TLC roots and Facade took the risks that he's become known for as the man who built the brand in Remix Pro. In spite of the ruthless and evil nature of the Horsemen, dominating both Hardy and Facade at varying points, the unthinkable happened with Facade & Hardy, with a little help from a table, defeated the Horsemen for the Remix Pro Tag Team Titles. A Surge celebration commenced, where else, but on top of a ladder, as two men known for innovation and fearlessness have proven to be a winning combination.
Meanwhile, the Horsemen, Gory, Conard & Ron Mathis, enraged that their goals of possessing every Remix Pro title were dashed, demanded Facade & Hardy return to the ring to fight once again... but I don't think they expected what would happen next. Chance Prophet re-emerged ready to continue his battle with Ron Mathis. TJ Phillips, who earlier in the night had defeated former tag team partner Trik Nasty, stood by Chance's side ready to fight as well. Cole Cash, whose career was ended by Mathis over a year ago emerged to stand beside them. Vance Desmond, not seen in Remix Pro rings in years, appeared as the final piece to the puzzle as it became clear what we were seeing... The Anti-Heroes, the original dominant faction in Remix Pro, the group The Headless Horsemen spawned from, were united once again and appeared ready to fight for their territory. While The Anti-Heroes were ready to fight, The Headless Horsemen needed to re-group, but the challenge was issued, and it seems only a matter of time before we see the two most dominant factions in Remix history do battle with one another, in a match that could drastically alter the future of this great organization as we know it.
Jock Samson's recruitment of the unstable and dangerous Eric Young to battle the "Handlebar Haberdasher" Marion Fontaine, in a bit of a makeshift beard vs. mustache match-up. Jock spent much of the match on commentary at ringside, screaming instructions to Eric on how to defeat "Frenchy" as Jock calls him, but Fontaine wound up outsmarting EY and pinning the former TNA World Champion much to the "Appalachian Outlaw"'s chagrin after a miscue saw Eric and Jock collide while Jock was on the ring apron. Jock, naturally blaming anyone but himself, began verbally dressing down Young in the middle of the ring. However, you can only poke someone with the mentality of Eric Young so much before he snaps... and we saw exactly that. Eric dropped Jock with a piledriver so devastating, Jock REFUSED to leave under his own power, demanding a stretcher, and no doubt will soon be demanding another crack at humiliating Marion Fontaine before long as well.
Our women's match of the evening saw two rising future stars do battle in one of the most evenly contested bouts of the night, as the east coast stand-out Kimber Lee bested the midwest standout who has begun to branch out nationwide, Heidi Lovelace. Both girls embraced and showed class and respect to one another after the bout, showing they are truly great representatives of what Remix Pro is all about. But what does Remix Women's Fury Champion Sassy Steph think of the two newest challengers in an ever-growing list of girls gunning for the gold?
Chris LeRusso likes to fashion himself the "Heir Apparent" to the main events, big money, and marquee opportunities in Remix, but his hot streak came to an abrupt halt courtesy of the man he bested and out-smarted twice before, the risk-taking "Omega" Aaron Draven, who dropped LeRusso with The Draven Dreathride from the top, and got himself back into the Remix Pro Wrestling rankings.
Bulldozer had a lot of karma to answer for after his disgusting attack on his friend Morgan at Throwdown 11, turning from a dancing and fun-loving entertainer, to a surly, bitter, angry bully. "Black Superman" Onyx had no problem standing up for women everywhere, and every brought not only Morgan but his teenage daughter as well to ringside to watch him fight for them. Bulldozer's typical intimidation tactics didn't work on the 300-plus-pound Onyx, but he was quick to stare down and intimidate the ladies at ringside at every chance. While 'Dozer took Morgan's health, pride, and well-being from her last time, Morgan responded here in great fashion, but stealing Bulldozer's very identity when she ripped off his mask quite unexpectedly. The distraction helped Onyx pick up a victory, but an enraged Bulldozer wanted retribution, targeting everyone in his path, including Morgan. With Onyx momentarily neutralized, Dozer looked to recreate the uncomfortable scene of Throwdown 11 on Morgan, but before he could attempt it, newcomer Jack Pollock, who as we mentioned was trained by Lance Storm, and actually has an extensive history with Morgan in other organizations, was able to fend off Bulldozer, and save Morgan. One can only surmise Jack Pollock will not have a target on his chest courtesy of the mammoth and angrier than ever Bulldozer.
Another Throwdown is in the books, but please remember to keep supporting the cause and purchase all of our prior Throwdowns on DVD. What memories will Remix Pro create in 2016 as emotions only continue to escalate and the field becomes more and more competitive?
